BENEFICIAL FOR A NATURAL BOOST WHENEVER YOU NEED IT!

Here is an easy yoga breath technique that you can do anytime you need a pick-me-up, like when you're dragging along in the morning, or feel the overwhelming need for a nap but still have to work for another couple hours.
Benefits of the following energizing breath technique:

Alternate Nostril Breathing – The great value of this breath technique is that it immediately energizes your body and mind by drawing increased amounts of oxygen into your bloodstream so you can focus better on whatever you're doing. Whether you are competing athletically, taking an exam, or simply have a big task ahead of you, this breath technique can positivity affect your strength, speed, and endurance, while enhancing your thinking. For me, this breath technique also helps to balance my emotions.
Start by bending the fingers on your right hand in the following configuration, then going through steps 1, 2, and 3:
This completes one round. Note: It is essential to ALWAYS start by blocking the right nostril and inhaling through the left nostril.
Now, go back to step 1 and repeat for two more rounds. When you learn the breath pattern, do this with your eyes closed and focus on the forehead (the area between your eyebrows) or on the tip of your nose to create inner calmness. When you’re done, it's good to pause for about two minutes in silence. This pause is a way to gently transition into going about the rest of your day. Recommendation: Beginners should start by doing 3 rounds, then slowly work their way up by adding 1 more round each week until they reach a maximum of 7 rounds. Do not do more than 7 rounds because it may cause dizziness. Always be gentle; never strain during this helpful breath technique. Enjoy the benefits that it brings!
