INSIGHTS ABOUT SOUL MATES by Ella Miller
A friend of mine described the tight-knit relationship she has with her daughter as, “...doing everything together” and “being best friends.” She went on to explain that they understand each other on a remarkably deep level and learn invaluable lessons from each other. Her daughter has taught her great patience, empathy, love and how to be courageous. She has helped her daughter to develop a positive outlook on life, confidence, creativity, integrity, and strong morals. Each person makes the other one better and more evolved in many ways.
Although most people think of the terms “soul mate” and “soul connection” as applying to a significant other in a romantic sense, it has a much broader connotation. Soul connections can be between friends, siblings, mentors, parents, children, co-workers, and so forth.
Better yet, a “soul connection” isn’t limited to one individual — you can have many soul mates in your life. As you read on, you will see how each person has something new to bring that can be immensely helpful in evolving you mentally, emotionally and spiritually on your way to becoming your best self.
There is a saying: “People come into your life for a reason.” Based on that principle, her connection to her daughter is no happy accident.
Through a spiritual lens, the universe works in ways that mankind cannot understand. The right people are planted in your life at the right time to help you learn and grow in just the right way. It’s predestined and well-planned.
• Ever meet an individual who opened your eyes to a fresh perspective that altered your life path or direction?
• Has a mentor-type individual entered your life and helped you evolve into the person you want to be?
• Has a person brought difficult situations into your life, but you learned immensely from your interactions?
• Have you met someone and felt like you’ve known them for ages and you instantly “fit together” like puzzle pieces?
• Has someone taught you a powerful lesson like how to love? Or, on the flip side, hurt your heart but yet you walked away from them feeling stronger and more powerful inside?
• Ever meet someone who helped you reach your professional aspirations? Maybe they believed in you in a profound way or gave you the helping hand you needed to reach your personal goals.
These are all instances of individuals coming into your life for a greater cosmic purpose. Sometimes the purpose is clear from the start, while other times the full purpose comes to light over time — this could be months... years... or even a lifetime. In any case, you learn new concepts, eye-opening principles and greater realizations because of them. In fact, these people are vital to your personal evolution!
Consider this: even people who have sparked negative situations such as pain, drama, heartache, fear, jealously, guilt, regret, etc. are, in fact, driving you toward whatever lessons you need to learn on a spiritual level. So those negatives actually serve a positive purpose. I’m not saying that you should continue the cycle of negativity in your life, but I am saying you can learn the lesson, understand it and move on from it in a more enlightened way.
With this fresh perspective on the people you meet, you can see interactions from a place of greater purpose and recognize that circumstances are unfolding before you with meaning and not by happenstance.
It’s exciting to think the people in your life are helping you to achieve profoundly new level of “being” in this universe, whether that’s realizing what you like or dislike about yourself to spark change, peeling back layers of yourself that you never knew existed, or elevating you to new levels of consciousness that prove to be life-changing. In the end, soul mates help you through a cycle of transformation that enables you to realize your purpose on this planet, so that you can become the best that you can be.
